What to Expect

Massage Consultation
Normally you should plan 45 minutes for your sports massage treatment. The first appointment will take   20-30 minutes longer so that a complete case history can be taken and a postural assessment can be done. This will help me create a personalised treatment plan for you. At the beginning of each appointment, I will ask you a few questions to see how you have been since the last treatment. This will allow me to track any changes that have occurred and adjust your treatment accordingly. After the massage, I will facilitate some
stretching and suggest stretches to do at home or after exercise.

A Swedish massage will start with a short consultation about your health and lifestyle. I will ask if there are any areas you want specifically worked on giving you the opportunity to personalise your treatment. During the massage a range of techniques will be used to alleviate pain and sooth your muscles. Some light stretching will also be included.

Homeopathy Consultation
Each homeopathy appointment consists of an interview. This gives you the chance to talk in detail about what brought you to seek treatment. I will ask you a range of questions about your health, lifestyle, medical history, social, sleep and dietary habits as well. For the first appointment, at 90 minutes, takes the longest. Following appointments take 40-50 minutes each. After each appointment, I will spend some time considering your case and then send you a remedy through the post with instructions on how to take it. A follow up appointment will be made at the end of each session, if necessary.

Products Used
For massage I use a range of oils, creams and waxes. Soya and wheatgerm oil or grapeseed oil are used for Swedish massage and Naqi cream and Songbird beeswax formulations are used for sports massage. I also use creams and gels made by Forever Living which contain organic aloe vera.

Homeopathic remedies are ordered from Helios Pharmacy in London.

Will these complementary therapies take the place of my normal medication?
Complementary therapies are just that...complementary and will not take the place of any medication or medical regimes you may be following on your doctor's orders but may work along side them to promote improved health. You may find that after complementary treatment you are feeling better and want to change your medication prescribed by the doctor. If this is the case, you should seek your GP's advice before making any changes to medication.

Payment
I accept cash or cheques. At this time I do not accept cards. Payment is due at the time of treatment.

Cancellation Policy
Should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call 24 hours in advance so the session can go to another client. Cancellations received at less than 24 hours notice, may be billed at 50% of the cost of the booked treatment. "No shows" will result in full treatment cost being charged to you before further treatment can commence.
